Stallions survive stern test!

-

NADROGA challenged Nadi for the Inkk Farebrother Sullivan Trophy and came out victorious. Nadi’s win against Suva by a point (25-24) meant that Nadroga got a second shot at the title this year.

Suva came close to upsetting the Jetsetters, but missed out by the narrowest of margin and through the boot of Nadi full back Tevita Mociu.

Nadroga lost to Naitasiri in their first challenge at Naluwai Park by 27-29.

The impressive Stallions beat Tailevu 24-10 at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori and then proved too strong for Naitasiri at Lawaqa Park last Saturday, winning the tough encounter 30-22. They earned a bonus point and denied the Highlanders

a bonus point.

Against the clinical Nadi outfit in front of their home fans and passionate Nadroga fans, the Stallions proved the better side and went one step as they took the trophy back to Nadroga.

Hearty congratulations to the Stallions for surviving the crunching battle!

The Nadroga trophy cabinet was empty and it hurt especially when our cabinet had always been full of trophies. The Stallions played their hearts out, defended their try-line, made use of every opportunity and brought back the glory days.

Wananavu Nadroga! I’m so proud of the Stallions.

Hakwa Nadro

TODAY I salute Hakwa Nadroga for an awesome performance.

You came. You saw, you conquered.

Congratulations to the young Nadro Stallions.

The Inkk Farebrother Sullivan Trophy, the Holy Grail of Fiji rugby changed hands proudly.

To my homeside Jacks Nadi I am truly disappointed with our scrums. We were a sad sight. We take the loss 19-20. On the day, Nadroga are deserved winners.

Celebrate Hakwa Nadro.
