THREE staff members of Streamline Business (Fiji) Pte Ltd were nominated for a prestigious award from their parent company in New Zealand with one of them coming out as a winner of the award this year.

Streamline Business (Fiji) Pte Ltd, trading as Streamline, is a subsidiary of Streamline Business Group Ltd, a New Zealand based company head-quartered in Auckland.

Streamline offers its Business Process solutions to corporate entities throughout Australasia and the South Pacific.

Streamline’s human resources manager – Global, Nelvin Kumar said it was fantastic to have one of their remote team recognised with this award for what they already knew – “our bookkeepers are the best in the business”.

“Every year the Institute of Certified NZ Book Keepers hosts a conference which is followed by the awards dinner.

“This year (2022) with hundreds of nominees from New Zealand alone, three staff members from Fiji team where shortlisted as finalists for the Bookkeeper of Year Award.

“The Award was given to one of our Fiji staff – Hasheel Ram,” he said.

Mr Ram has been with the company for about one and a half year he feels more dedicated than ever to his work after winning the award.

“He is overjoyed and confident that his efforts are being recognized. His passion and dedication is becoming enormously inspirational for other staff not only in his team but the other teams as well,” said Mr Kumar.

Sharing some of Mr Ram’s qualities as a bookkeeper Mr Kumar said not only was Hasheel a technically exceptional bookkeeper, he also had a strong passion for seeing his clients succeed.

“For Hasheel’s nomination the company was able to demonstrate this commitment to his zone of genius through clear examples of his dedication to his not-for-profit clients, specifically in the area of being a strong advocate when interacting with government departments to ensure prompt and accurate payment is made.

“Two of our other Fijian bookkeepers – Ronit and Deepika – were finalists alongside Hasheel for this award. I can only say that I am incredibly honoured to have the privilege to work alongside such an exceptional group of people who work together in a way that unleashes our clients to operate in their zone of genius.”

Mr Kumar said over the past two years, their bookkeeping team in Fiji had grown exponentially, and had risen to the challenge of supporting their primarily NZ-based client base of small business owners through a difficult time.

He said that had been driven in turn by the acceptance a COVIDlockdown world created around our ability to service clients remotely — with a focus on ensuring they delivered the right information, at the right time, to the right people, so they can make informed business decisions.”

Streamline’s Fiji business employs 46 people.
