Reasons to smile
WILLIAM ‘Bigwilz’ Waqanibaravi had two reasons to smile this week.
He celebrated his 53rd birthday and he got signed up as a brand ambassador for Tabs Investments.
And for signing on the dotted line he received a brand new Taylor guitar made of locally sourced mahogany timer.
Taylor is an American guitar manufacturer and the list of those who own one of their instruments includes Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Zac Brown, and Jason Mraz.
And Tabs Investments is a supplier of Fiji-grown mahogany to the Californiabased luthier.
“It’s an honour to be recognised by an international brand to represent them locally and join the few others who have already been signed in the past,” Bigwilz said.
“And I would like to thank Tabs Investments for their contribution towards the promotion of local music through sponsorship and guitar competitions.
“For me to be asked is an honour and privilege as it is an acknowledgement of my contribution to the local music scene.”
Tabs Investments CEO Mosese Waqavonovono said they were excited about their partnership with Bigwilz.
“Tabs Investments is honoured to sign onboard local music legend, William Waqanibaravi as our brand ambassador,” he said.
“Commonly known as Bigwilz within the music industry, he is well known for his classic iTaukei numbers.
“Working together with Bigwilz is a continuation of our support towards our local music industry which we have had over the last seven years.”
Bigwilz has recorded and released a string of English and iTaukei songs which has become hits across the Pacific.
Among his more popular tunes are Bu Kamikamica and Coconut Bubbling.
Tender closing 4pm, Thursday 10th November, 2022.
