-

THE Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will launch their 2023 jerseys for the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition on Saturday.

Jerseys will be available for sale at Jack’s of Fiji outlets from Saturday first, with other retailers also expected to start sale of jerseys and other merchandise in the coming weeks.

The 2023 matchday jersey sees the appearance of the club's official water supplier and major sponsor AquaSafe on both side panels.

AquaSafe joins Swire Shipping, Pacific Aus Sports, ANZ, Rooster Chicken and Fiji Airways as sponsors proudly displayed on the matchday kit.

The jerseys are manufactured by leading sportswear brand New Balance featuring lightweight stretch polyester and NB Dry technology.

The club has retained the design of the primary 'royal blue' jersey from its inaugural season, given its resounding success with fans and stakeholders.

The club has also retained the white colours of its alternate 'clash' jersey but has included more pronounced teal motifs and custom Drua brandmarks for a fresh new look.

Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans said the team looked forward to sharing its 2023 merchandise with fans.

“As we look forward to our second season, we're very excited to go on sale early on in the Christmas season to give our fans heaps of gift ideas and options to choose from,” he said.

“Our players wear the Drua jersey with so much pride and get really inspired when they see our fans do the same.

“It's extremely humbling for us to see the love and passion from our fans when they wear the jersey, whether at stadiums or in the streets.

“We remain grateful to them for their support, which saw the Drua having one of the highest jersey sales of any Super Rugby Pacific club last season.

“We are also grateful to all our sponsors and thank AquaSafe for increasing their partnership to appear on the jersey as well.

“We will proudly display our sponsor vuvale brands on the match jerseys.”

Warwick Pleass, the managing director of Pleass Global Ltd said: “The Fijian Drua rugby club has been warmly embraced by rugby lovers in Fiji and the Fijian diaspora everywhere, but also by many Australians and New Zealanders.

“Pleass Global Ltd’s AquaSafe brand of natural artesian water is proud to partner with the Fijian Drua and we hope in a small way we can play a part in their growth and development.

“We congratulate the Drua on their success in their first season and believe very strongly in their future.

“We are investing in them because we believe in them and the synergy between bottled water and sports at all levels.

“We are very excited to start the new season of Super Rugby and very proud to have our name on their jerseys”.
