Rashmika Mandanna: I can’t be someone else off camera; I can’t fake it!

- TIMES OF INDIA

WHILE on camera she can put on multiple personalities, off it, Rashmika Mandanna comes across as this chirpy, bubby girl. Be it during her interviews or when she is caught surprised through paparazzi spotting, the Pushpa actress is always all smiles, radiating a happy mood.

Talking about her off screen personality, Rashmika says, “Well, that’s just how I am. This is my personality. I can’t fake it as people will catch it that I am doing all this just for the camera. Moreover, I just can’t pull off an act off camera, as that’s not me. I am just really grateful that people like me for who I am.”

Unlike the south industries, Rashmika, who made her Bollywood debut with Amitabh Bachchan starrer Goodbye this year, says that the paparazzi culture is quite new to her. She shares, “All the photographers are so adorable. Initially I used to get nervous when suddenly so many of them would come around, but then after talking to them and understanding their job I realised their hardwork too. I realised that just like me, they were doing their job. It is then I decided that when they are around me, for those few seconds or minutes I will make them smile.”

The actress, who gained immense popularity for her role in Pushpa: The Rise, in the earlier interview with BT mentioned that she is quite kicked about Pushpa: The Rule. She had said, “During the first part I was very nervous, but with the second part, I am genuinely excited. People have loved Srivalli and Pushpa Raj already, I hope people will love us (again).”
