Shopping together as a family

- By ANA MADIGIBULI

AS a church minister, Adriu Nauluvula knows the importance of juggling family time and serving the church and its member.

Mr Nauluvula is committed to his calling and shares his love for God with those he comes across daily.

For this Christmas, Mr Nauluvula shares that the greatest gift one can receive is Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

"Jesus Christ alone offers us true peace and unspeakable joy in this time of uncertainty," he said.

When he is not sharing the message of God with others, he simply spends his spare time with his family and friends.

One thing that he loves to do with his family is to have a meal together.

In order for his family to eat well, he and his wife Litia Nauluvula and three boys spend a day out shopping for their family supplies.

Mr Nauluvula said they shop once a week at the Suva Municipal Market, at Extra Supermarket in Laucala Beach and NewWorld Supermarket in Valelevu.

He said he shops there because it has variety of goods that they often need at home.

"I usually get Weet-Bix, milk and meat," he said.

"Vegetables and fruits are necessities at home whereas flour, rice and sugar are bought occasionally.

"I emphasise on healthly choices and prioritise a good balanced diet not only for myself but also for my family

"We live within our means and always shop within our budget, even though it gets hard sometimes when we are out shopping."

For his shopping run he loves taking his whole family because it makes the trip fun and exciting, especially for his three boys.

For this Christmas, Mr Nauluvula and his family like many Christian families out there will have a special budget set aside for the Christmas shopping trip.

The shopping run would include the Christmas meal prep essentials for the special Christmas get-together meal.
