FABA releases annual calender
THE Fiji Amateur Boxing Association (FABA) has released its annual calendar of events for the year, which includes Olympic qualifying events and monthly tournaments at the Commander Stanley Brown gym in Walu Bay.
Fiji Amateur Boxing head coach Cam Todd said it would be a very busy year for FABA.
“I will be selecting a junior squad, I’ve already done a base squad just need to finalise it,” Todd said.
“We are also setting up an elite squad for the year, preparing them for international fights and the visiting British Royal Marines boxing team from Australia,” said Todd.
“We also will be having the Oceania Boxing Championship on July 8, which Fiji hasn’t hosted for a very long time, so it is really a busy year for Fiji Amateur Boxing.”
Meanwhile, the Oceania Boxing Federation (OCBC) is yet to confirm the hosting of the Oceania Championship in Fiji in July.
