Derrière ce nom se cachent Alexy Kos et Che Huang, deux anciens étudiants de l’University of the Arts de Londres - le premier y suivait des cours d’architecture intérieure tandis que le second se spécialisait en design. Forts de cette double casquette et d’une riche expérience à travers différentes agences internationales, ils décident de s’associer en 2018 et le succès ne s’est pas fait attendre. Le restaurant St John’s Wood de Londres, ce sont eux, sans compter plusieurs boutiques livrées dans la capitale britannique et cet appartement dans Mayfair, imaginé pour un hôtelier-restaurateur dans un mélange de références allant du modernisme à l’Art déco. C’est surtout leur approche « cinématographique », comme ils aiment la décrire, qui frappe d’emblée. Gageons qu’elle sera à l’oeuvre dans l’hôtel sur lequel ils travaillent actuellement à New York.

Behind the name are Alexy Kos and Che Huang, two graduates of the University of the Arts in London, where the former studied interior architecture and the latter majored in design. With this dual background and extensive experience with various international agencies, they decided to join forces in 2018. Success soon followed. St John’s Wood restaurant in London is their work, as are several stores in the British capital and this apartment in Mayfair, designed for a hotelier-restaurateur with a mix of references ranging from modernism to Art Deco. What’s immediately striking is a style they like to describe as “cinematic”. Here’s betting that it will come into play at the hotel they are currently doing in New York.
