Jean-Baptiste Fastrez
M.H. Collaborations récentes : Eo, Moustache.
A tinge of fantasy
After earning a degree from ENSCI-Les Ateliers in 2010, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez began a three-year stint with the Bouroullec brothers. In parallel he launched his own agency in 2011, and went on to win that year’s Grand Prix at the Design Parade Hyères. His process consists of reinventing everyday objects from a hybrid, witty, often surprising angle— like his Zodiac mirror for the Moustache brand, with its sausage-like ceramic frame. The first retrospective of his work was presented late last year at the Chapelle des Calvairiennes in Mayenne. M.H. Recent collaborations: Eo, Moustache.
