Placid harmonies
What’s new. The French designer completed three interiors in 2020, largely maintaining his usual pace of travel to supervise a long list of large-scale projects as well as the operations of his New York branch. Style. Even though he chose an all-white color scheme for the highly architectural space that houses Kamel Mennour’s new gallery near the Seine in Paris, color plays a more and more prominent role in his serene interiors: a deep blue-green for a Left Bank apartment, harmonies of pink, terracotta and green for the shop of the Villa Noailles in Hyères… With the addition of vintage furniture and pieces of his own design, plus enchanting contributions by visual artists, the result is invariably fresh and appealing.
