Giancarlo Valle grew up in San Francisco, Chicago, Caracas and Guatemala City. After earning a master’s in architecture from Princeton University, he opened his New York-based agency in 2016. Style. He defines his approach as holistic, seeking an ideal balance between architecture and decoration. Judiciously blending past and present, he composes each space with artistry and restraint. What’s new. His work is much appreciated in New York, where he is known as a creator of high-profile décors like his renovation of a loft for the hotelier Kevin Wendle, but his recent commissions also include houses in California and Mexico City. And in France he is currently refurbishing the Château de Curzay for a hotel project.
