Rationalism meets folk tradition
It doesn’t bear his name, but this multidisciplinary agency was founded by the young designer Gabriel Escámez. Equally at ease as an artistic director or a creator of objects and interiors, he has made his mark in all three professions by cultivating an appealing style, somewhere between the rationalist heritage in architecture and a vernacular touch, with hand craftsmanship and local materials conveying a subtle Mediterranean sensibility. Recently completed. His list of projects delivered in 2020 includes Formaje (a cheese store, as the name implies) and a Sessùn shop in Madrid, plus an apartment in Barcelona.
