Radical restraint

Background. After graduating from Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands in 2014, Valériane Lazard honed her skills working with John Pawson, Studio KO and Vincent Van Duysen, whose minimalist approach has remained an influence. Returning to France, she opened her agency in Paris and started out as a creator of stone furniture before turning her focus to interior design. Style. Her work is guided by an ongoing quest for a radical spareness, tempered by the choice of textured coatings and natural materials like wood and travertine. Projects. In 2020 she completed two shops in Paris, for the Polène and Pascale Monvoisin brands.
