Pattern, Decoration & Crime (1) réunit, au MAMCO de Genève, les oeuvres du mouvement relativement oublié Pattern and Decoration (P&D), qui s’est développé du milieu des années 1970 au début des années 1980. L’événement n’est pas isolé. Au plaisir de la redécouverte s’ajoute nécessairement une relecture de

l’histoire où se rencontrent des oeuvres jusqu’alors éloignées les unes des autres. D’où notre désir de rencontrer Claude Viallat

et Robert Zakanitch.

——— Until 3 February 2019, the exhibition Pattern, Decoration & Crime (1) brings together at the MAMCO Geneva, the

works from a relatively forgotten movement Pattern and Decoration (P&D),

which flourished from the mid-1970s until the early 1980s. This is far from an isolated event. The joy of rediscovering the movement is coupled with a

necessary rereading of history and the confrontation of works that evolved in separate spheres. Hence our desire to meet with Claude Viallat and

Robert Zakanitch.
