A few foot­steps from the Mu­seum of Con­tem­po­rary Art (CAPC), this in­ti­mate bar-bistrot serves clas­sic French dishes em­bel­lished with an Asian edge - a touch of star anise in the broth, or a dash of black sesame on the purée. Chef Felix Clerc loves find­ing new ways to pack a sub­tle gas­tro­nomic punch, and since Sym­biose is a cock­tail bar by night, he lets mixol­ogy in­form the cui­sine; here the liqueurs are of­ten in­fused into sauces and stocks.
