HAUTE-VIENNE Limoges and the Lac de Vassivière
Limoges is a celebrated city of porcelain and enamel with many sites to explore, incuding the Adrien Dubouché National Museum, the Fine Arts museum, the Bénédictins railway station, the town’s old quarter and the famous porcelain houses where contemporary artists still work today. As a day trip, explore the Lac de Vassivière, where the Haute-vienne, Corrèze and Creuse departments meet. This man-made lake offers canoeing, sailing, water skiing and wake boarding, and the 47 km shoreline has numerous walking and cycling trails. www.limoges-tourisme.com
