MUSEUM AND GALLERY OF FINE ARTS
The museum allows visitors to take a close look at masters of European art (Matisse, Picasso, Renoir, Rubens, Véronèse...) as well as Bordeaux’s native painters (André Lhote, Albert Marquet, Odilon Redon) of various periods and styles. The south wing is dedicated to classical 16th to 18th century painting and the north wing hosts 19th and 20th century art. Dutch painting is particularly well represented. Located in front of the City Hall gardens, the gallery hosts the major temporary exhibitions.
