SOMME

The Historial, with its two locations on the Somme battlefields, offers a glance into the terrible extent of World War I. Péronne Museum features five permanent exhibitions and two video exhibits which respectively tell the story of the Battle of the Somme in 1916 and a brief history of the war. Thiepval Museum is dedicated to the battles of the Somme. Until 28 April 2019, the Historial of the Great War will be displaying a temporary exhibition in Péronne Museum called “Amours en guerre” on the subject of love during the war. L’historial dévoile l’ampleur du premier conflit mondial sur deux sites situés au coeur des champs de bataille de la Somme. Le musée de Péronne se compose de cinq salles d’exposition permanente et deux salles audiovisuelles qui présentent la bataille de la Somme de 1916 et une histoire synthétisée du conflit. Le musée de Thiepval est consacré aux batailles de la Somme. Jusqu’au 28 avril 2019, l’historial de la Grande Guerre vous propose, dans son musée à Péronne, une exposition temporaire consacrée aux Amours en guerre.
