The Clemenceau, the Courage of the Republic exhibition takes a look at the life and times of Georges Clemenceau, the founder of France's third republic, on the occasion of the Clemenceau Year and the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. The show brings together some 140 objects including personal objects and papers, family archives, correspondence, photographs and works of art like the portrait of the statesman by Edouard Manet. À l’occasion de l’année Clemenceau et du centenaire de la fin de la Première Guerre mondiale, l’exposition « Clemenceau, le courage de la République » s’intéresse au parcours de George Clemenceau, fondateur de la IIIE République, ainsi qu’à son époque. Elle présente près de 140 objets et documents, dont certains personnels, des archives familiales, des correspondances, des photographies et des oeuvres d’art, comme le portrait de cet homme d’état réalisé par Édouard Manet.
