[OVERLORD MUSEUM – OMAHA BEACH]

A stone’s throw from Omaha Beach, the site of the American landings, the Overlord Museum tells the story of the period between D-day and the liberation of Paris, with its unique collections found mostly on Normandy soil. In 2019, the museum is expanding in order to offer visitors new experiences and services, with a new museographic exhibition space, a portrait gallery paying homage to veterans, a welcoming gift shop and an extensive selection of books.

Reopening on 1st March

A deux pas de la plage du débarquement Américain d'omaha Beach, Overlord Museum retrace la période du Débarquement allié jusqu'à la libération de Paris, à l'aide d'une collection inédite retrouvée en grande partie sur le sol normand. En 2019, le musée s’agrandit afin d’offrir de nouvelles expériences et services aux visiteurs avec un nouvel espace d’exposition muséographique, une galerie de portraits rendant hommage aux vétérans, une boutique cosy et une librairie étendue.
