GEORGES BRUYER ET HENRI LANDIER

This summer, a trip to the Musée de la Grande Guerre in Meaux is in order to discover the work of Georges Bruyer (1883-1962), a French painter, engraver, ceramic artisan, and artist and soldier during the First World War. This unprecedented exhibition unveils the artist's personality and his career through 130 works that include oil paintings, drawings, sketches and engravings. Through his depictions of devastated landscapes and the daily lives of soldiers, Georges Bruyer delivers a colourful account of life on the front. Through to August 22nd, 2021. The Requiem pour les Barthélemy exhibition is also worth a visit, with paintings and drawings by Henri Landier delivering a vibrant pictorial tribute to all those who fought in The Great War. Cet été, une visite au musée de la Grande Guerre de Meaux s'impose pour y découvrir l'oeuvre de Georges Bruyer (1883-1962), peintre, graveur, céramiste et soldat-artiste durant la Première Guerre mondiale. Cette exposition inédite dévoile la personnalité de l'artiste et son parcours à travers 130 oeuvres (huiles sur toile, dessins, croquis et gravures). Georges Bruyer y rend compte en couleur de la vie sur le front avec des représentations de paysages dévastés, du quotidien des combattants… Jusqu'au 22 août 2021.

A visiter également, l'exposition Requiem pour les Barthélemy, peintures et dessins d'henri Landier, un hommage pictural vibrant de l'artiste pour tous les combattants de la Grande Guerre.
