MICHAEL, SALES REPRESENTATIVE
A linen overshirt from Drake’s. I wore a linen safari jacket for many years, but it finally wore out. This one replaced it. It can look either casual or chic in spring and summer.
Just an old brown leather belt I bought on eBay. Finding a good vintage belt there isn’t easy, but it’s worth it when you find one.
“My first serious piece of clothing was a cashmere blazer my father gave me when I was a teenager. It opened my eyes to what a good piece of clothing was. My dad is as nerdy about clothes as I am, and he taught me a lot. The best parts of my wardrobe are his old clothes and things he found for me.“
A Wythe T-shirt. It’s so soft, as if you’ve worn it for 15 years. It really looks like the one Marlon Brando wore in A Streetcar Named Desire.
A pair of cotton and linen chinos, also from Wythe. I’m tough on them, but they still manage to look great.
Belgian loafers. I’ve had this pair for four years. I bought them during my first week in New York. I love the contrast between dressy shoes an widelegged pants.
