AN AURA OF DRAMA

“My work is my body and my body is my work” said Portuguese artist Helena Almeida, the inspiration behind Clare Waight Keller this season. And so the strength, but also the sensuality of bodies is exalted through the construction of these garments: a red felt dress clasped together by a sculptural safety pin reveals a knee, long leather gloves on strict suits add a Hitchcockian dimension. A cape fused with a dress exalts Kaia Gerber’s power. Necklines are either wide open or completely covered up with very thick shawls.
