A WILL TO SOFTNESS

Wide shoulders and clinched waists are some of the French designer’s signatures. This season, she pushed them even further. An 80’s look, she belts waists high and draws super-powerful shoulders on each model. Bold characteristics, almost gimmick-like, that she tones down with soft materials: knits, tweed, immaculate felted wool, pearly velvet, curly shearling… Even her studded boots (a probable future hit) are made of soft leather. The styling is purified, tending towards minimalism, and expresses a desire for essential comfort.
