At Loewe, Jonathan Anderson takes us towards new creative territories, a meeting ground of French classicism, Spanish opulence and Japanese elegance. In collaboration with artist Takuro Kuwata, bags are adorned with sculptures—like tea ceremony sets—and ceramic inlays embellish dresses. Obsessed with the richness of artisanat, he reworks brocades, silk jacquards and extravagant draping, reminiscent of Vélasquez and flamenco dresses. And to top it all off, surprising extrabouffant volumes, made to impress, are placed on all parts of the body.
