THOROUGHLY STITCHED

Francesco Risso revisits ‘Alice in Wonderland’, in a phantasy, futuristic version of the novel. From start to finish, the fashion house’s artisanal qualities are celebrated in an array of multi-fabric patchwork pieces: stiff coats, mini and maxi-dresses, handbags, sleeveless dresses, sutured knits… Exaggerated, the visible seams are naïve, almost childlike. With Risso, nothing is lost, all the scraps of fabric are used as inlays, even down to the smallest accessory. A mix between upcycling-style innovation, and Dr Frankenstein’s creature.
