PORTRAITS OF AMÉLIE NOTHOMB
Amélie Nothomb's great public success has the particularity of being the reflection of her readers' love for her personality as much as for her work.
Phénomène, mixing color and black and white, is a collection of portraits of the author made since 1995, mostly unpublished. They testify to the originality and aura of her personality, which is in turn comical, romantic, surprising, bold or even disturbing. Rare are the writers who combine a visual universe of which they are the main actors with an unavoidable literary fame.
This book of playful photographs offers a public of literature lovers, by taking the visual route, a privileged access to the imagination of Amélie Nothomb, who gave Marianne Rosenstiehl carte blanche to carry out this project. These incredible photos are accompanied by the transcript of the 5 programs "A voix nue" of France Culture devoted to Amélie Nothomb.
A fetish object proposed to the faithful readers as well as to the amateurs of photography.
Marianne Rosentstiehl is a French photographer. At the age of 23, she joined the Sygma agency where she developed a personal portrait practice that she later continued at the H&K agency. The most imposing and demanding actors of their time - actors, authors, politicians - have passed before her lens. In 2009, she exhibited "In Sight Photography" at the Artcurial gallery, a series of photographs of Juliette Binoche. With
"The Curse", exhibited in the official selection of the Month of Photography 2014, she begins a work on the feminine that she currently continues with "Nausicaa - Feminine Subjective".
