Since 2009, 730,000 trees have there­fore been planted each year all around the world. An­other am­bi­tious pro­gram is Planet

21, which fo­cuses on the Ac­corHo­tels 21 com­mit­ments to foster sus­tain­able devel­op­ment. In Aus­tralia, for ex­am­ple, the Pull­man at Syd­ney Olympic Park was specif­i­cally de­signed to re­duce en­ergy and wa­ter con­sump­tion by 40% and 50% re­spec­tively. In France, the Pull­man

Paris Tour Eif­fel (see above) has its own 650m2 gar­den which grows its own fruit, veg­eta­bles, flow­ers and herbs. It’s what you might call see­ing the world through green-tinted glasses.
