Where the city's pulse is, one finds the Pullman Liverpool: a brand-new hotel erected on the famous King's Dock waterfront, side by side with the Arena and Convention Centre with which it collaborates. This elegant four-star venue features 216 rooms, a bar with an impeccable view on the River Mersey, as well as the Duke's—an all-day brasserie-style restaurant inspired by the city's maritime past. At its spectacular inauguration in spring 2016, Pullman Liverpool furthermore marked its great artistic ambitions by hosting a commissioned performance by Swiss artist Raphael Hefti in the framework of the Liverpool Biennial. Using an expert blend of brushed copper, wood and stone, the hotel design cradles the marine influence from the docks inside and out. Entering the reception, guests are first met by the dazzling sight of its jet-black world globe centerpiece. Then by The Welcomers—a friendly and informative front-of-house team who manages check-in quickly and efficiently while guests relax over a drink in the open plan bar.
