The nose is fine, fruity and elegant. It reveals notes of prunes, caramel and small notes of candied fruit combined with a touch of dried fruit and a discreet hint of dark chocolate. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant, well-structured, relatively gourmand and offers minerality, fat, suavity and a beautiful volume. In mouth this Porto expresses notes of caramel, candied fruit (plum, tangerine, strawberry) and slight notes of dried fruit associated with a hint of Zante currant, a hint of wood, a discreet touch of chocolate, a slight hint of espresso as well as discreet notes of almond on the finish. Good length and persistence. The aftertaste is slightly powerful.
