Château Malartic Lagraviere 2012

Pessac-Léognan, Grand Cru Classé de Graves

-

(75% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Semillon)

The nose is fruity, elegant and dry. It reveals notes of tropical fruit, green apple and slight notes of papaya associated with touches of flowers, citrus zest and an imperceptible hint of toasted oak / sweet spices. The palate is fruity, mineral, straight, tight, relatively fat, a bit fleshy and offers suavity, freshness, elegance and a small smoothness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of white fruit (apple, brugnon) associated with fine notes of pear, grape, touches of citrus (lemon, clementine), hints of exotic fruits (lychee, papaya) as well as a discreet note of pineapple, zests and a few discreet hints of toasted oak / vanilla (brings roundness, complexity and suavity on the finish). Good length and persistence.
