Château Sansonnet 2012

Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

-

The nose is elegant, powerful, aromatic and quite intense. It reveals notes of blackberry and small berries associated with slight notes of truffle, red fruits, spices (gray pepper …) as well as a few slight notes of oak (in the background). The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, relatively fat and offers a beautiful acid frame, a nice structure, suavity as well as a nice silky matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry and crushed strawberry associated with fine notes of cassis, a touch of raspberry, a discreet hint of blueberry as well as slight notes of toasted oak, cocoa and discreet hint of spices (tea, Sichuan pepper…). Tannins are fine and elegant. Good length and persistence. The finish is suave and gourmande.
