Château Brane-Cantenac 2008
Margaux – 2nd Grand Cru Classé
The nose is fresh, fine, quite elegant and quite fruity. it reveals woody notes, notes of dark chocolate/mocha, blackberry and wild strawberry associated with slight hints of racy minerality/flint, crushed cassis as well as a discreet hints of crushed raspberry, very discreet hints of Cuben pepper and slight
touch of roasting. The palate is fruity, fine, juicy, elegant, round, sleek and offers a beautiful finesse, an acid frame, a small tension, racy minerality, powerful (beautifully balanced), a beautiful definition, deepness, a slight concentration as well as a slight juiciness in the background and an imperceptible hint of clove (in the background). Tannins are fine and supple. The finish is suave. Good length and persistence.
