Château Pontet Canet 2008
Pauillac, 5ème Grand Cru Classé
The nose is fresh, fruity and elegant. It reveals notes of blackberry and cherry cream combined with slight notes of minerality, licorice, fine touches of undergrowth and a touch of truffle. The mouth is fruity, mineral, elegant, silky and offers a beautiful silky matter, a fine tension, freshness, a beautiful expression, a good structure as well as a beautiful velvety and relatively aerial matter. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackberry, sour cherry and slight notes of cassis, crushed strawberry combined with hints of wood, licorice and slight notes of truffle, a touch of saline minerality and a discreet hint of spice. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length.
