Edmond Cornu & Fils Vieille Vigne 2014

Aloxe-Corton

-

The nose reveals notes of leather/ empyreumatic and small wild fruits associated with discreet notes of cherry jam, redcurrant as well as slight touch of spices, a discreet hint of nutmeg and an imperceptible hint of curcuma. The wine needs to be decanted (carafe). The palate is fruity, mineral, elegant, well-balanced and offers a beautiful finesse, a beautiful grain (like lace!), a certain straightness, tension, a nice volume as well as an acid frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of raspberry jam, black cherry and slight notes of cherry associated with hints of small berries, zan as well as discreet touch of black tea and chocolate. Tannins are fine, young and slightly dry. Good length and beautiful persistence. The finish is gourmande.
