Churchill’s Estates - Grande Reserva 2013

Douro

-

The nose is fruity, aromatic, elegant and velvety. It reveals notes of boysenberry, crushed cassis and slight notes of blueberry associated with a discreet hint of red fruits, violet as well as slight touch of spices and a hint of nutmeg. The palate is fruity, juicy, elegant, mineral, deep, nicely balanced and offers an acid frame, a slight smooth, a beautiful grain, a beautiful definition, a beautiful fat, a good volume as well as a good definition. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry cream, crushed cassis and slight notes of plum, raspberry associated with hints of liquorice, toasted oak, cardamom and a discreet hint of blond tobacco. Tannins are fine, slightly dry, a bit young and structuring. Good length.
