Quinta de la Rosa - La Rosa Reserva 2014
Douro
The nose is fruity, gourmand, generous and relatively elegant. It reveals notes of blackberry cream, plum and slight notes of red fruits (wild strawberry, crushed raspberry associated with a discreet hint of redcurrant, notes of chocolate, Sichuan pepper, spices as well as a hint of cardamom and an imperceptible hint of graphite. The palate is fruity, sight, sleek, mineral, supple and offers freshness, a good definition, a small aerial side as well as an acid frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry cream, cassis and slight notes of plum, raspberry associated with a hint of wild strawberry jam, touch of liquorice as well as a discreet oak. Tannins are young (wait at least 2 years) and (very) slightly dry. Good length and persistence. There is a very slight hint of iodine on the finish, and suavity on the persistence.
