Col d’Orcia - Nastagio 2011

Brunello di Montalcino

-

The nose is elegant, powerful and racy. It reveals notes of undergrowth associated with slight hints of leather, earth, olive / garrigue, blackberry, cassis as well as slight notes of strawberry, hints of black olive, spices and a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, fine, silky and offers a nice fat, a nice suavity and a nice definition. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of cherry, redcurrant candy, wild strawberries and slight hints of blackcurrant, wild berries combined with discreet hints of licorice, leather, wood as well as slight hints of earth / olive, spices, black olive and a very discreet hint of pepper. Tannins are fine and elegant. Good length.
