Vincent Spannagel - Riesling 2014 - Wineck Schlossberg

Alsace Grand Cru

-

The nose is full, fruity and relatively rich. It reveals notes of compoted yellow peach, quince and slight hints of kumquat assoicated with a very discreet hint of flowers and racy minerality. The palate is fruity, juicy, fresh, well-balanced and offers a beautiful minerality, a beautiful acid frame, a good definition, fat, a certain straightness as well as a slight unctuosity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of quince, mirabelle and slight touches of compoted pear associated with a subtle hint of ripe peach, racy minerality as well as an imperceptible hint of flowers (in the background). Good length.
