Château de Laussac 2014
Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux
The nose is aromatic and quite elegant. It reveals notes of cassis, Sichuan pepper and flowers associated with a discreet hint of toasted oak as well as a subtle hint of sandalwood and ripe red fruits. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, slightly juicy, gourmand, well-built and offers a beautiful fat/suavity, a slight tension, a slight unctuosity as well as an acid frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, fleshy/ juicy strawberry and slight notes of cassis associated with a discreet hint of redcurrant, toasted oak, chocolate as well as a subtle hint of caramelization. Tannins are well-built, slightly firm and a bit young. Good length and persistence.
There is a gourmandise on the finish.
