Château Ricaud 2015
Blaye Côtes-de-Bordeaux
The nose is fine, relatively aromatic and quite elegant. It reveals notes of blackberry and cassis associated with slight notes of ripe wild strawberry, red berries as well as woody hints and a subtle hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers freshness, minerality, a slight tension, fat, a slight acid frame, as well as a slight silky matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of crushed/ripe red berries, strawberry and slight notes of cassis associated with a hint of juicy blackberry, toasted, licorice as well as a very discreet hint of sweet spices/cardamom. Good length. The aftertaste is relatively gourmande.
