Château Laniote 2007

Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

-

The nose is elegant, fine, straight and offers a slight freshness as well as complexity. It reveals notes of blackberry, ripe cassis and slight notes of strawberry, toasted oak, spices associated with a discreet hint of Sichuan pepper, undergrowth (discreet) as well as a discreet hint of roasting, mocha and an imperceptible hint of vanilla (in the background). The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced, silky, gourmand and offers suavity, a beautiful fresh frame, a racy minerality, a slight deepness as well as much elegance. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of ripe red berries, ripe strawberry and slight notes of cassis associated with hints of toasted oak as well as a discreet hint of roasting and mocha. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length and aromatic persistence. There is a very discreet hint of truffle on the finish. A beautiful wine!
