Château de Pressac 2014

Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

-

The nose is fine, elegant and powerful. It reveals notes of cassis, crushed blackberry and slight touches of ripe strawberry associated with touches of black pepper, spices as well as a discreet hint of flowers, chocolate, caramelization and an imperceptible hint of undergrowth. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, silky and offers a slight freshness, a slight acid frame, a very slight unctuosity, a slight concentration as well as a beautiful, racy minerality. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, black cherry and slight notes of ripe red berries, raspberry associated with hints of toasted oak, a subtle hint of mocha, a discreet hint of spices as well as hints of chocolate and caramel (on the persistence). Tannins are well-built and elegant. There is a slight concentration on the finish, and a hint of chocolate on the persistence.
