Château Angélus 2014
Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, 1er Grand Cru Classé A
The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a beautiful finesse. It reveals notes of wild blackberry and slight notes of cassis, crushed strawberry associated with a subtle hint of violet as well as discreet hints of blueberry, a woody hint and spices (hint of Sichuan pepper and a very discreet hint of cinnamon). The palate is fruity, juicy and offers a very beautiful finesse, a beautiful straightness, a beautiful tension as well as a slight freshness and a silky matter. Beautiful gourmandise and finesse! In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy fleshy blackberry, cassis and slight notes of wild strawberry associated with a discreet hint of fleshy violet, red small berries as well as a discreet hint of gourmand chocolate and caramelized oak (very discreet). Tannins are fine, elegant and slightly creamy. Good length.
