Sauternes, Premier Grand Cru Classé

The nose is aromatic, elegant, slightly powerful and offers concentration. The wine needs to be carafed. It reveals slight notes of quince and mirabelle associated with discreet hints of spices, safran, flowers as well as a slight hint of honey and a very discreet hint of nuts. The palate is fruity, well-balaned, syrupy and offers a beautiful acid frame, a slight tension as well as a beautiful fat. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of compoted white fruits (apple, brugnon) and hints of honey associated with discreet hints of candied lemon, dry citrus/dried apricot, slight hints of baked apple, flint as well as a very slight hint of verbena and very slight hints of nuts/caramel on the persistence. Good length and a very beautiful aromatic persistence.
