Château Pouilly 2011 - Cuvée 1551

Pouilly-Fuissé

-

The nose is aromatic, fresh, fine and offers a slight richness (in the background). It reveals notes of quince, dried lemon and hints of beeswax associated with a subtle hint of apricot, spices/gray pepper as well as a very discreet woody hint. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, straight, elegant and offers a beautiful finesse/delicacy, a beautiful fat, a slight unctuosity, a very beautiful definition (lace!), a beauitful elegance, a beautiful minerality, tension, a slight juiciness, a slight acid frame (in the bakcground). In the mouth this wine expresses notes of ripe lemon, slight notes of quince, juicy peach and slight hints of pear, juicy apple associated with a discreet hint of beeswax, mango as well as a very discreet hint of sweet spices, oak and an imperceptible hint of muesli. Good length and persistence.
