Porto

-

The nose is fruity, powerful, fine and relatively concentrated. It reveals notes of plum jam, cassis cream and spices associated with a hint of Sichuan pepper, a discreet hint of licorice as well as an imperceptible hint of Sichuan pepper, a discreet hint of licorice as well as an imperceptible hint of eucalyptus and dried black olive. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-built and offers a slight creaminess, a slight acid frame as well as a slight suavity. In the mouth this Porto expresses notes of cassis and plum jam associated with slight notes of crushed raspberry, ripe wild small red berries as well as hints of Sichuan pepper, licorice, chocolate and a very discreet hint of almond in the background. Tannins are fine and slightly dry. The finish is a bit drying. There is a discreet hint of coffee in the background on the finish/persistence.
