Baron de Pichon Longueville 1985

Bas-Armagnac

-

The nose is aromatic, powerful and offers a certain finesse as well as richness. It reveals notes of dry citrus (Tangerine, lemon) and hints of white fruits associated with a discreet hint of litchi, slight hints of caramelization as well as a discreet hint of spices, rancio, a hint of dried flowers and slight hints of Zante currant. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers freshness, a beautiful acid/fresh frame (in the background) as well as a slight suavity. In the mouth this Armagnac expresses notes of white fruits (apple, peach) and slight hints of fresh lemon associated with grilled hints, roasting and a woody hint as well as slight notes of cigare and sweet spices/vanilla on the finish/persistence.
