Sylvain Morey is the son of Jean-Marc Morey, a revered winemaker in Chassagne-Montrachet. While he started his own winemaking journey in the Luberon with Bastide du Claux, he inherited in 2004 some parcels scattered on the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and Saint-Aubin.

Sylvain Morey’s Les Charmois is worthy of the finest taste buds with its refined buttery, dried fruits, hazelnuts and almonds aromas. It’s voluminous and creamy, but without a hint of heaviness. On the contrary, it is a tonic and dynamic wine with a nice minerality and saline character on the finish and an extremely flattering palate. (J.M.)
