The nose is fresh, elegant and offers a nice concentration with finesse, power / deepness in finesse, delicacy, a certain little straightness, a small fleshiness of the fruit as well as complexity. It reveals notes of bright strawberry, small crushed red berries and small notes of black pepper associated with small charcoal touches, blueberry as well as slight hints of violet, Bourbon vanilla and a very discreet hint of blond tobacco (in the background). The mouth is beautifully elegant, pure and offers a well mastered / precise power, deepness, a slight hint of ”blackness” as well as a fine and very discreetly tight grain. Beautiful ”strength” in delicacy! Nice density and matter on the middle of the mouth. A pretty silkiness and fleshiness blended with an aerial side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright wild cassis, fresh/pulpy blackberry and slight notes of bright redcurrants associated with touches of fresh/ fleshy small blue fruits, graphite, tonka bean, cocoa, slight hints of Bourbon vanilla pod, lily/flowers as well as a hint of incense and sweet/toasted spices. Beautiful persistence. Tannins are powerful but full of finesse and delicacy.
Pauillac The nose is elegant, aromatic and offers delicacy, a certain power in finesse as well as concentration. It reveals notes of bright Boysenberry, black pepper and small notes of violet associated with touches of bright black berries, roasting as well as fine hints of racy minerality, almost aromatic herbs/toasted and a very discreet almost minty hint. The mouth is nicely built, beautifully balanced and offers freshness, juiciness, suavity, sapidity, a nice definition / roundness of the fruit as well as generosity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/bright blackberry, crushed cassis and small notes of raspberry associated with touches of red berries as well as slight hints of camphor, graphite, mocha, gravel, a subtle hint of cardamom and an imperceptible hint of clove. Tannins are precise, fine, elegant and discreetly mellow. A fine hint of liquorice and vanilla on the finish.
Pauillac, Grand Cru Classé
The nose is fruity, fresh, slightly closed, discreetly tight and offers a little minty side, a racy minerality, a beautiful grain as well as a little « aerial » power. It reveals notes of Boysenberry, sweet spices and small notes of graphite associated with touches of wild red fruits, raspberry as well as slight hints of small blue fruits, racy minerality, a hint of vanilla and a subtle hint of blond tobacco. The palate is beautifully fresh, fruity, well-balanced and offers elegance, a beauiful acidulous frame, a certain tension, a small straightness, a small controlled power, delicacy as well as precision. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry, fresh/pulpy cassis and small notes of graphite associated with touches of fresh raspberry, bright small blue fruits as well as hints of dark chocolate, toasted, slight hints of Bourbon vanilla as well as a slight hint of saffron, crushed nutmeg and a subtle hint of sweet spices. Beautiful acidity on the finish.
The nose is elegant, aromatic, quite ample and offers a certain intensity in freshness as well as delicacy. It reveals notes of wild cassis, strawberry and small notes of ripe wild raspberry, small fruits associated with small touches of spices, fresh leather, a subtle hint of cinnamon, roasting, pepper, a discreet hint of graphite as well as an imperceptible hint of menthol and undergrowth. The palate is fruity, beautifully mineral and offers a nice freshness, acidity, roundness, a small spherical side, a certain fat as well as a certain energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/quite ripe raspberry, red berries and slight notes of bright purple plum associated with touches of blackberry, slight hints of pepper, caramelization, nutmeg, sweet spices as well as a subtle hint of toasted almond, Bourbon vanilla, star anise and an imperceptible hint of undergrowth. Tannins are precise, supple and sapid. Good length.
